Meet our Students
Some people call me Spencer, and some people call me their prophet. I love to think, and some of my thoughts are deeper than the shots I take on the basketball court. Alongside my love of basketball, I love naturalist writing. At Aspire High I get outside and journal every day, along with reading some of the finest ecological texts ever written, like Walden and Sand County Almanac. This program allows me freedom, while promoting accountability.
Hi! I'm Sorin. I'm a rambunctious, off-the-wall kind of guy who seeks authenticity in everything he does. I have a terrible, terrible sense of humor, which my classmates have the misfortune of being subjected to every day. I do my best to take care of myself and others, and I am seeking out a career in activism.
This program has enabled me to whole-heartedly pursue my interests. I dedicate my school time to fostering my understanding of LGBTQ+ (specifically trans and non-binary) social issues and searching for ways to change the world by changing people's minds.I also have passions for digital art, creative writing, and music.
I was born in North Carolina and have been a part of non-traditional learning or homeschooling my whole life. Aspire High has given me freedom and room for self-motivation that I really appreciate. While I’m not sure what I want to pursue as a career, I know I’d like to attend college and help people in some way. When I’m not learning, I enjoy creative writing, photography, and other arts.
I am a responsible person. I am nice and kind to people. I like to help people with whatever they would need help with. I am a good friend to my classmates and those I hang out with. I am a productive person with my academics.
I like Aspire high because we go to the YMCA every morning, and the Experiential seminars that we do on Friday are really interesting.
I am an artist, a ambivert, and a attempted peacemaker. I spoil my friends, and love to be goofy. I am a very kind to others and always want to make people happy. I love this school and I like to be on top of my classes and I tend to get everything I need to done and in on time. The dynamic of this school is perfect to me and I really thrive here. I would totally recommend this school.
